Experience
Four roles, each closer to the business.
Support taught me how large systems fail. Pre-sales taught me how buyers decide. Architecture leadership put the two together. Each role below notes why it matters for AI work today.
-
Advanced Solutions Architect
2023 – 2025RingCentralPre-sales architecture. I designed how RingCentral would connect to the systems each customer already ran.
- Designed scalable solutions and reference architectures.
- Designed API and third-party integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, HubSpot, AWS, Azure and proprietary systems.
- Checked each integration with sales and technical teams before it went into a proposal.
- Wrote the technical sections of Statements of Work: scope, inclusions, exclusions and cost estimates.
- Presented designs and ran demos for clients.
Why it matters for AI: scoping an AI project is the same work. Define what is in, what is out, and what it costs, before anyone builds.
-
Solutions Architect & Technical Lead
2015 – 2022Ericsson / CENXI led solution architecture from the sale through delivery, for network operations software used by large carriers.
- Architected a big-data platform. It collected carrier network data, cleaned and loaded it (ETL), built the network topology, and showed analytics and inventory in one view.
- Revitalized projects in Germany, the United States and Italy.
- Designed and deployed an end-to-end fulfillment solution for an Italian client. It automates connectivity from data centres to AWS and Azure, and it is live.
- Delivered Service Assurance software for Tier 1 clients.
- Mentored engineers.
Why it matters for AI: AI runs on data pipelines like this one. Getting data from many sources into one usable place is most of the work.
-
Pre-Sales Engineer
2013 – 2014EspialI was the technical voice in sales meetings across North America and Europe.
- Supported pre-sales across North America and Europe.
- Ran product demos for Tier 1 executives.
Why it matters for AI: executives decide on what they understand. I learned to show a system in their terms.
-
Technical Support Expertise Lead
2008 – 2012Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia)I worked in the Customer Technical Expertise Center on critical customer issues.
- Led resolution of critical customer issues.
- Built cross-platform tools for Unix, Linux and Windows.
Why it matters for AI: I know how production systems break, so I plan for it.
